Download the script

Sign in to the Cfx.re portal with the account you used at checkout and download the Fossil Hunt Job from Granted Assets.

Move the resources

Extract the zip and place both the stg-fossil and stg-fossil-props folders inside the [STG] category folder in your resources directory. stg-fossil-props streams the fossil and rock models, without it the fossils do not appear.

Install the dependencies

The Fossil Hunt Job needs ox_lib, oxmysql and a target system, ox_target or qb-target. Skip this step if your server already runs them.

Import the database table

Run stg-fossil/[SETUP]/stg_fossil.sql on your server database, for example with HeidiSQL or phpMyAdmin. It creates the stg_fossil table that holds every player's level, XP and leaderboard stats.

CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `stg_fossil` (
  `owner` varchar(64) NOT NULL,
  `data` json NOT NULL,
  PRIMARY KEY (`owner`)
) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8mb4;

The table is not created automatically.

Add the fossil job (optional)

Only needed when you turn on Config.Job.enabled to make the job available to one job. Add a job named fossil (or the name you put in Config.Job.jobs) to your framework:

Run this on your database:

INSERT INTO jobs (name, label) VALUES
('fossil', 'Fossil Hunter');

INSERT INTO job_grades (job_name, grade, name, label, salary, skin_male, skin_female) VALUES
('fossil', 0, 'worker', 'Worker', 50, '{}', '{}'),
('fossil', 1, 'experienced', 'Experienced Worker', 75, '{}', '{}'),
('fossil', 2, 'boss', 'Boss', 100, '{}', '{}');

Add this to the jobs table in qb-core/shared/jobs.lua:

['fossil'] = {
    label = 'Fossil Hunter',
    defaultDuty = true,
    offDutyPay = false,
    grades = {
        ['0'] = { name = 'Worker', payment = 50 },
        ['1'] = { name = 'Experienced', payment = 75 },
        ['2'] = { name = 'Boss', isboss = true, payment = 100 },
    },
},

Add this to the jobs table in qbx_core/shared/jobs.lua:

['fossil'] = {
    label = 'Fossil Hunter',
    defaultDuty = true,
    offDutyPay = false,
    grades = {
        [0] = { name = 'Worker', payment = 50 },
        [1] = { name = 'Experienced', payment = 75 },
        [2] = { name = 'Boss', payment = 100, isboss = true },
    },
},

Start the script

Make sure [STG] starts after your framework, oxmysql, ox_lib and your target system in server.cfg:

ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib
# your framework: es_extended, qb-core or qbx_core
# your target system: ox_target or qb-target
ensure [STG]

Then restart the whole server.

Nothing happens or the console shows an error? See Common Errors.
