Create a Discord Webhook

Create a Discord webhook in under a minute and connect it to an STG Scripts resource to receive logs in a channel.

Many STG scripts can send logs, such as purchases, admin actions or payouts, to a Discord channel. To do that, the script needs a webhook URL for the channel.

You need the Manage Webhooks permission on the server. Server owners and admins have it by default.

Create the webhook

Open the channel settings

Hover over the channel that should receive the logs and click the gear icon (Edit Channel).

Go to Integrations

Select Integrations in the menu, then click Create Webhook. If the channel already has webhooks, click View Webhooks and then New Webhook.

Name it

Click the new webhook and give it a name, for example Vanaheim Fuel Logs. This is the name the messages are posted under. You can also upload an avatar.

Copy the URL

Click Copy Webhook URL, then Save Changes.

Add it to the script

Open the script's config file and paste the URL into its webhook setting, then restart the resource.

Config.Webhook = 'https://discord.com/api/webhooks/...'

The setting name can differ between scripts. Check the Configuration page of the script you are setting up.

Treat the webhook URL like a password. Anyone who has it can post messages to your channel. If it leaks, delete the webhook in Discord and create a new one.
