Download the script

Sign in to the Cfx.re portal with the account you used at checkout and download stg_busker from Granted Assets.

Move the resource

Extract the zip and place the stg_busker folder inside the [STG] category folder in your resources directory.

resources/
└── [STG]/
    ├── stg-sound/
    └── stg_busker/

Keep the folder name stg_busker, with an underscore. The music menu does not work under any other name, and the console keeps asking you to rename it.

Install the dependencies

Busker System needs ox_lib, oxmysql and STG Sound System (stg-sound), which plays the music. Download stg-sound from Granted Assets as well and place it next to stg_busker. Skip this step if your server already runs them.

Import the SQL

Run [SETUP]/stg_busker.sql on your database. It creates the stg_busker table that stores each player's level and XP.

Add the guitar item

Players start performing by using the guitar item. Add it to your inventory and copy [SETUP]/item-images/guitar.png into your inventory's image folder.

Add to ox_inventory/data/items.lua:

['guitar'] = {
    label = 'Guitar',
    weight = 2000,
    stack = false,
    close = true,
    client = {
        export = 'stg_busker.useGuitar',
    },
},

The image goes in ox_inventory/web/images/.

Add to qb-core/shared/items.lua:

guitar = { name = 'guitar', label = 'Guitar', weight = 2000, type = 'item', image = 'guitar.png', unique = true, useable = true, shouldClose = true, description = 'Play some music on the street' },

The image goes in qb-inventory/html/images/.

Run on your database:

INSERT INTO items (name, label, weight) VALUES ('guitar', 'Guitar', 1);

The image goes in your inventory resource's image folder.

Start the script

Make sure [STG] starts after your framework, oxmysql and ox_lib in server.cfg. If you use ox_target or qb-target, start it before [STG] too:

ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib
# your framework: es_extended, qb-core or qbx_core
# optional: ox_target or qb-target
ensure [STG]

Then restart the whole server.

Nothing happens or the console shows an error? See Common Errors.
